Rafael Nikodemus
My name is Rafael Nikodemus and I am a pastor in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland.
Since 2008, I have been working in the regional church office in Düsseldorf in the areas of migration, refugees, asylum, and the church and Islam. Since 2010, we have been submitting an annual report to the synod on refugee protection at the EU's external borders. That is why the scandalous deaths in the Mediterranean have been a recurring focus of my attention.
I am a founding member of United4Rescue and delighted to continue supporting the association's work on the board.
